The fashion industry has become one the most exciting means
of expression for the new Romanian cultural identity. Romanian designers
produce work that is both wearable and conceptual. The garments seem to tell a
very political story and make a social statement.
My favourite designers are Irina Marinescu, Carmen Secareanu
and Maria Lucia Hohan.
